He grew up fishing and doing other outdoor activities. His parents were kind and loving, and taught their kids to be the same. He has the king of personality that draws people to him, he is everyone's best friend. He is always willing to listen to your problems, and give the best advice that he can. He will quite literally give you the shirt of of his back if he thought that you needed it more than him. He taught himself to play the guitar when he was nine, and has a decent singing voice to go with it. However, he does have a self confidence problem, that has him doubting himself often. When confronted with a problem, he takes a long time to solve it, not wanting to make any mistakes and this has very often led him to making a mistake, which results in a cycle. On the other hand, he also tends to act before he thinks things out fully, it is his way of trying to overcome his own self doubts. Appearance: Living an outdoor and active kind of life has given Jason a tan kind of skin and a lean build. He is toned from working on boats, but not overly muscular. There is a four inch scar on his right forearm, the result of a broken arm from a fall from a boat when he was eight years old. He has a ready smile, and while his teeth are not perfect, they do attract attention from the females in his district. He wears the standard clothing of a working man from his district, nothing fancy, but he dreams of one day winning the games and being able to afford nicer clothes. He has secretly been consulting tailors and planning an elaborate wardrobe which he one day hopes to afford. History: There is not much to Jason's history. His father's family were lucky enough to escape much persecution after the rebellion and set up a fairly nice net mending and fishing business in district four. While they are forced to give most of what they catch to the capitol, they do make a tidy bit of money on the side selling and trading with others in the district. Jason was taught at a young age to appreciate what he had and to never be wasteful, and that no matter how bad things got, there were always other who had it worse and that he should help those whenever possible. Unlike the other kids in his district, he dreams of entering the games and bringing glory to his family and district. His parents do not know it, but he has been training in secret for years, hoping one day to be reaped. Death does not scare him. RP example: From another site: Chelsea was staring into the first so hard and for so long, she was certain she would eventually be blinded by it, one more thing to worry about she supposed. Still, it was warm and inviting, and she welcomed both. The companionship she had shared with Temperance on the train had awakened a kind of hunger inside of her, a desire to share her life with someone who would not hit her, and now she found that she craved it more than anything else. Which is why the perception that she got at the feast stung more than it really should. She had thought that she finally had that companionship, and now, in her mind, it was gone. So deep she was in her thoughts and the fire, that it totally caught her off guard when someone sat down right down next to her placing a plate full of something on a nearby table. She gave a squeak of surprise, and nearly fell off her chair, especially when she realized it was Temperance sitting there. So she was wrong after all. Maybe she really HAD made a friend. Composing herself, she settled back into the chair and tried to get her thoughts back in order. She could not mess this up now. Looking around, she tried to think of something...anything to say and not sound like a total idiot. She spied the plate and noticed that it was filled with some very delicious look deserts. Some of which were her very favorites, but she was never allowed to have at home. She gave a large smile. This was turning out better than expected. She wanted to reach for one particularly tasty looking tart, but she was still hesitant. It had been beat into her at home to never take something without asking first. "Thank you Tempy. I did not expect anyone to care enough to come looking for me, much less bring me food." She stopped, hesitant to say what she wanted to say next. "May....may I have that tart please?" Here came the rejection and scorn. Though maybe, just maybe it would be different this time. Maybe she would finally be loved and accepted. Other characters:None Yet Alias: Jay |
